with him. As,Javed Akhtar said in a "Classic legends" episode,Sahir's
mother too was abandoned by Sahir's father who married 11 times. 6-year old
Sahir chose his poor mother over his rich zamindar father when he was asked
to decide in the court. Sahir too may have got a similar upbringing. It is
well known that Sahir was very close to his mother.
