Upon pale skin, with a finger,
Write my name, Adā.
Sometimes the moon lingers near,
Sometimes evening stays close.
If I come, morning; if I depart,
Write my name, Sabā.
If snow falls, on snow's surface,
Write my name, Du'ā.
A flicker of fire stays close,
A glimmer of sun will stay near,
A whisper of colors will linger.
If they ask for a trace of me,
Write henna's hue.
